When my gorgeous partner was here on a visit, I had the chance to take her to the Sacramento Zoo.  While there, I was able to get some photos of the animals.  A Sumatran Tiger “cub” decided he wanted to be against the glass for a nap, and I was able to nab some amazing close-ups.  Here are a few from the series:

Mike and Jill wedding, 20 September 2008

Nearly five years after they first started dating, my father finally married the woman of his dreams.  Jill helped save my father.  My father was diagnosed with diabetes shortly after surviving a stroke in 2000.  When they met, my father was just over 300 pounds and his numbers (sugar levels) were contsantly above 300 when they should have been under 200.  Jill helped him drop nearly 100 pounds, and his numbers are contsantly under 200 now.  If he had not met her, he most probably would be dead due to diabetic coma and other complications.  She saved him, and he saved her.  I am proud to call her my stepmother, and am proud to show the photos that I took at their wedding.
